The latest innovation from Intelligent Glass is the Switchable Smart Glass Vision Panels, allowing discreet visibility into (or out of) a room at the push of a button.
Switchable Vision Panels are most commonly used in healthcare, in its frosted, unpowered state the panel acts as an opaque blind, giving the room complete privacy. While the button is pressed, the Switchable element becomes clear, allowing the room to be checked without needing to open the door or disturb the occupants.
Although not limited to healthcare, Switchable Vision Panels have been used in very innovative applications, such as product unveilings and viewing windows to create a dramatic reveal that goes the extra step into creating capturing displays.
A popular choice is a push button, these could be momentary or latching so the user can operate from directly next to the Smart Glass. Or as simple as a switch on the wall or with one of our wireless remote control kits.
The most common version of our Vision Panel is our Laminate or Sealed Glazed Unit for environments such as healthcare or correctional facilities as these units may require the additional protection.
Mains power would be required, if the vision panel is on an opening door products like a power transfer hinge can be used to pass power from the transformer to the Smart Glass.
